I've been convinced of Lithgow's brilliance ever since his Roberta Muldoon in Garp, which I still regard as one of the 10 greatest breakout performances ever. And the writers of 3rd Rock from the Sun attested that they could come up with no premise or scene so far over the top that Lithgow would back down from it.
That said, I feel a pang of sadness (at least I don't think it's hunger) whenever I see him in one of those Campbell's commercials.
I suddenly feel compelled to clarify that I have bought everything You Know Who has ever told me to buy, except the insanity.
I loved 3rd Rock. I wonder what that blonde Amazon is doing now? I haven't seen her in anything since the second Austin Powers movie. My favorite episode had to be the one where she discovered the influence of her cleavage on men. "They have more power when they collide!"
I'm sure Lithgow's doing Broadway right now- he can't possibly need the money, can he? I guess everybody has their price. But the soup really is good for store-bought.
Lithgow was doing the Michael Caine part in the musical adaptation of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, but he may be on to something else on the Great White Way these days.
Kristen Johnston is a regular on ER these days, which is astonishing for so many reasons (not only that she's on a dramatic series, but that ER is even still on the air).
I shouldn't have called Kristen Johnston an Amazon, since I'm not exactly 5'4" and 100 lbs. Maybe I should have made it clear that I meant it as a compliment.

Purveyor of insanity, that man is.
Oh, like you can talk. You've been trying to sell me crazy every day for the last ten years. I ain't buying.

I have never seen ER.
That's right, now that you mention it I remember seeing him on billboards in NYC. I think it was at the Imperial.
