Since I was getting ready to go work at a Summer Program, and then working at said program, during this momentous time, I can at least post a comment at the proper time retroactively:

Happy 10th Anniversary of a truly intriguing, whirl-wind tour! Your photo reminds me of another form of public transportation... good thing no one's traveling across Wyoming by overnight ferry...!

Oh Larry, was it really ten long years ago
that we crossed the Channel on the dark P&O?

You forgave me my lewdness, as well you might,
for I'm quite entertaining... though not very bright.

A two-decker bus in the heat of Lugano,
a blonde Texan diva, a brunette soprano,

A ski-jump, the Eiffel, the Louvre and then-
stone castle! hot biker! and reclining hen.

I may never again go continent-hopping,
but I'll never forget us, in Innsbruck, out shopping.

Amsterdam, Venice, Munich and the Rhine,
the hunt for McDonald's, a Klingon, all fine-

But the best thing about that adventure- Mon Dieu!-
was NOT Spezzi-Go-Go. Amie, it was you.

I am buzzed. This po-em... sucks?
