And my reply, which was emailed to you:

You spamming sons-of-bitches. You left this link on my weblog at blogspot.com. If you're paying someone to market for you, you better rethink this tactic. The message was this:

Now you've got me thinking. I really enjoy this blog, I'll definitely pop around more often, keep it up!

Feel free to pay a visit to my Canada immigration site. It might not be your "cup of tea", but it covers Canada immigration related topics.

What you're doing is the opposite of ethical marketing. It's a pain in my ass and it's tainting the blogsphere. Keep it up and I'm going to have to disable the comments feature, which is intolerable. Fuck off.

A, I wrote a similar message to someone because I got spammed with a link to their product/site. Idiot asses. I think the companies are just stupid and fall for the pitch by spammers, who probably call themselves "e-marketing specialists" or some such, and charge these suckers a boatload of cash and then they just spam.

I was getting bombarded with spam comments recently. And it does no good to restrict comments to blogger registered users, because they are all registered with blogger under bogus names. You can go into your comments preferences and select word verification, and that way, anyone who comments will have to manually type in the random word blogger creates each time they post a comment. Spam comments are done automatically, like a telemarketing call. This will cut it out, completely (until they figure out a way around it).
